Black Unrest, Riots and How Newspapers Frame the Narrative of African American Social Protest11/19/2015 On November 18th, 2015, I presented my senior seminar research to the Communication Arts department professors. I researched the coverage of the top three most circulated newspapers in the United States and two weeks of their coverage of protests after the deaths of Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown and Freddie Gray. The content read totaled to 184 articles. After weeks of analysis, a mixture of quantitative and qualitative data was collected. The information found was then compiled and presented.
